Daltonganj: Marking Teacher’s Day, Palamu deputy commissioner Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat on Saturday launched ‘Palamu Ki Pathsala’, an online learning support platform aimed at helping students prepare for secondary and Plus-II examinations.Shekhawat said, “The development of a nation is measured by its human resources, and not its infrastructure like roads and bridges, or industries. And, human resources are shaped by quality education.““The portal would offer study materials and a question bank in six subjects, including mathematics and science. The district administration is also exploring the possibility of arranging coaching support for students, with funding being sought from NITI Aayog,” he added.District education officer (DEO) Sandeep Kumar said, “The initiative, which includes study notes and lectures for students, reflects the DC’s emphasis on quality education.”On the teacher-student ratio in govt schools, the DC said, “Rural schools face a shortage of teachers, while urban schools often have a surplus.”A total of 43 govt school teachers, including six women teachers, were felicitated during the programme.
