Patna: Approximately 1.25 lakh public representatives—from the panchayat level to Parliament—from across the country are likely to participate in the ‘Jansevak Mahakumbh’: Panchayat se Parliament tak’ mass rendition of all six stanzas of ‘Vande Mataram’ on Sept 17 to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and the launch of the month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ to mark his 25 years of public life so far. The event is likely to enter the Guinness World Records and their team will be present on the occasion, BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi said here on Tuesday.The BJP has prepared a blueprint for 13 major programmes during the month-long campaign. Addressing a news conference to list the events to be organised between Sept 17 and Oct 17 in the state, Saraogi said the campaign will kick off with the ‘Aashirwad ka Diya’ (lamp of blessings) programme. At 7pm, beneficiaries of central and state govt schemes have been appealed to light lamps at their homes to express gratitude to PM Modi. The BJP Yuva Morcha will organise blood donation camps across the state on the occasion, he said.Saraogi said painting and speech competitions will be held in schools and colleges from Sept 23 to Oct 2 under the ‘Seva Chitra’ programme. Competitions will be organised on themes such as ‘PM’s Public Service’, ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ with certificates and prizes awarded to participants.Under the ‘Seva Sansmaran’ initiative, PM Modi’s 25 years of service will be showcased to the masses through musical theatre performances in villages and cities from Sept 17 to Oct 2.The BJP state chief said the ‘Kahani Badlav Ki’ (story of change) programme will use social media to share real-life stories of transformation brought about by the Prime Minister’s schemes, reaching from the panchayat up to the state and national levels.Programmes will be held at all Anganwadi centres between Sept 25 and Oct 7, featuring the honouring of Anganwadi workers and helpers, distribution of fruits and sweets to children, and sharing of experiences by parents.Saraogi also announced a ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’ from Oct 7. Flames (jyotis) from villages will travel to district headquarters, where they will converge to symbolise 25 years of uninterrupted service of the PM.The ‘Seva Mera Yogdan’ (service is my contribution) programme will run from Sept 17 to Oct 17, during which NDA workers will engage in at least 25 minutes of service activities, including cleanliness drives, health-related services, and blood donation.He said the ‘Seva Setu Abhiyan’ aims to extend the benefits of govt schemes to eligible individuals who have previously been excluded from them. Service camps will be organised between Oct 1 and 7 to hear people’s grievances and link them with relevant schemes.He said programmes such as ‘Seva Ke Rang’—featuring rangoli making at households — and an ‘Innovation Challenge’ will also be held.
