Patna: Chief minister Samrat Choudhary on Friday launched ‘Seva Sankalp and Kayakalp Abhiyan’ at a programme in Sankalp auditorium at Lok Sevak Awas and directed officials to complete all small development works at the panchayat level by Nov 30 without fail. He also inaugurated “Kayakalp” portal.Addressing the ministers and officials, Choudhary said the campaign aims to improve, clean and strengthen public facilities and assets while also creating new infrastructure. He said, “The initiative has two major components: The upgradation, strengthening and repair of existing assets, to be completed by Nov 30 under all circumstances, and the construction of new infrastructure and assets, to be completed by March 31, 2027.”The CM urged officials to work with elected representatives at every level to ensure effective implementation. “To make this campaign successful, take the cooperation of all public representatives. Take the help of representatives of panchayati raj institutions and urban local bodies,” he said. He asked officials to focus on small requirements, ensure their successful execution and include the campaign’s components in programmes organised on Panchayat Vikas Diwas.Choudhary said all pending minor works in villages must be taken up on priority. These include whitewashing and painting of schools, construction of community buildings where needed, building anganwadi centres and completing other essential works within the fixed deadline. He also directed that necessary facilities be provided in Ambedkar hostels, Karpoori Thakur hostels and other hostels. Remaining minor works in health centres, community buildings and other public institutions must also be completed by Nov 30, he said.The CM instructed all departments concerned and district administration officials to work in line with the objectives of the campaign and meet the prescribed timelines. He said ministers should monitor progress regularly, while local-level cooperation must be ensured to make the programme successful. The focus will remain on time-bound improvement of basic public assets across panchayats, urban bodies and district institutions statewide.
