Patna: Jan Suraaj will announce its candidates for the upcoming MLC elections on Sunday, party founder and Bankipur MLA Prashant Kishor said on Saturday.Kishor, after attending a meeting in West Anandpuri on the selection of the party’s MLC candidate for the Patna constituency and formation of an election campaign committee, said the ongoing exchange of allegations between Anant Singh and JD(U) functionary Neeraj Kumar was an internal matter of the party.On BJP national president Nitin Nabin’s announcement that he would donate three months’ salary to flood victims, Kishor said he welcomed the move but urged him to also contribute from the BJP’s relief fund. Kishor claimed that the fund has more than Rs30,000 crore.Kishor also urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah to express solidarity with Bihar’s flood victims and provide assistance. Referring to their statements during the 2025 election campaign, he said they had promised a permanent solution to Bihar’s flood problem if people voted for the BJP.Kishor said the PM and home minister should at least express sympathy for those affected by the floods.
