Jamshedpur: An undergraduatestudent of ABM College and resident of Birsanagar went missing on Tuesday after allegedly being scolded by her parents for taking Rs 24,000 from her maternal uncle without informing the family for admission to preparatory classes for banking examinations, police said.Lodging a missing report on Wednesday, family members of Anjali Kumari, 23, told police that she had taken the money about two months ago to prepare for banking exams but did not inform anyone at home.Anjali’s elder brother, Vinay Lohar, said, “When we came to know about this on Monday, mother scolded her for taking the money without the family’s knowledge. Anjali left home with a blue school bag the next day. She has left behind a note, expressing her regret for failing to become a good daughter and breaking her parents’ trust.”Officer in-charge of the Golmuri police station, Prashant Kumar, said, “The matter is being investigated.”Appealing to the public to contact them if she is spotted or any information about her whereabouts is available, the family shared the mobile number, 6204931132.
