Dhanbad: Police have registered an FIR against fugitive gangster Prince Khan and eight others, including an unnamed person, over Monday’s daylight shooting at Bhuli More in Dhanbad, which left three persons, including jailed gangster Fahim Khan’s brother Mohammad Naseem Khan alias Shanu, injured.Shanu, who suffered bullet injuries, is being treated at a private hospital here. Police recorded his statement at the hospital before lodging the FIR.Police said Shanu in his statement named Prince, his brothers Gopi, Banty and Godwin, their mother Nasreen Khatoon, father Nasir Khan, brother-in-law Arshad alias Hrithik Khan and Sudesh Ojha, who is currently lodged in jail. Shanu is reportedly the maternal uncle of Prince Khan.Police sources on Wednesday said a search operation was conducted in Katras late on Tuesday night, where three persons were detained for questioned. One man was reportedly detained Kabadi Patti in Naya bazaar.Investigators are verifying ownership and possible use of a motorcycle allegedly used in the crime, reportedly linked to a Katras youth. Police teams are scanning CCTV footage and other evidence to identify the shooters and map their movements. “Several suspects are being questioned, and efforts are underway to identify those involved,” SSP Prabhat Kumar said.
