Gaya: The Gaya district administration has put in place special traffic arrangements for Sunday, the second day of the Pitripaksh Mela, when a large number of pilgrims are expected to visit Ramshila and Pretshila for pind daan rituals.Reviewing preparations on Saturday, district magistrate ShashankShubhankar directed Sadar SDO AnilKumarRaman to ensure smooth movement of pilgrims across the mela area.To ease congestion, the administration has barred vehicles from approaching the Vishnupad temple via Chand Chaura and Bengali Ashram. The district magistrate directed officials to install barricades and deploy adequate police personnel on both routes to facilitate pedestrian movement and crowd management.“Adequate e-rickshaws will be deployed on both routes to ferry pilgrims and reduce the need for long walks. Free e-rickshaw services will also be available at Pretshila on Sunday,” the DM said.
