Patna: As many as 961 of 1,041 Jeevika women cleared the Bihar Board of Open Schooling and Examination Class X exam under the ‘Second Chance’ programme in 2025-26. The initiative will now expand to 23 districts and 50 blocks.The programme, run by Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (Jeevika) with Pratham Education Foundation, helps women and girls resume education after dropping out. Of 3,268 learners mobilised, 1,320 enrolled with BBOSE and 961 cleared the exam. Vaishali’s Gudiya Kumari scored 450 out of 500.Jeevika aims to reconnect at least 10,000 women and girls with education in 2026-27.
