Kolkata: Police have started an investigation against a father-son duo, living in an apartment on Nandalal Bose Street, for allegedly harassing a woman caretaker, intimidating a 43-year-old resident who protested against the harassment and often creating trouble. A complaint was registered at the Shyampukur PS. Around Sunday midnight, the accused, both drunk, targeted the caretaker (52), used foul language and tried to make her stand guard at the main gate deep into the night. When a woman from the building intervened, the accused confronted her and threatened her with dire consequences before local club members stepped in.Building residents claimed the two often created trouble, drank alcohol in shared, open spaces like the roof, threw glass bottles and illegally parked their commercial vehicles at the gate, blocking it. “A probe is on to restore order and ensure residents’ safety,” said a senior officer.
