All three men were arrested.Bangladeshi national Robindra Mondal, 48, was handed over to police on October 3 after allegedly attempting to travel to Abu Dhabi on an Indian passport. He was scheduled to board Etihad flight EY207 before travelling onward to Paris.Immigration records allegedly linked him to two Bangladeshi passports issued in Dhaka under the name Rabindra Mondol, listing his birthplace as Munshiganj, Bangladesh, and his date of birth as June 12, 1978. Officials said Mondal admitted that he had entered India illegally and later obtained Aadhaar and PAN cards as well as an Indian passport. He allegedly secured Indian passport AP-472113 from Kolkata on May 11, 2026, using false details.Nepalese national Deepak Giri, 40, who arrived from Kathmandu on IndiGo flight 6E1158 on October 3, was questioned after immigration checks showed frequent travel to Kathmandu and he failed to provide satisfactory information.Records showed that Giri was born in Ramechhap, Nepal, held Nepalese citizenship and married a Nepalese citizen in Manthali Municipality on December 14, 2022. His parents had moved to Mumbai in 1980.Police said Giri allegedly obtained an Indian passport from Mumbai on September 16, 2021, using false or incorrect information.Afghan national Taza Khan Zurmati was intercepted on October 4 while allegedly attempting to fly to Dubai as Ibrahim Khan on IndiGo flight 6E-1451. Immigration officials became suspicious after finding Afghan visa stickers in his Indian passport.A biometric search reportedly found two Afghan passports in the names of Taza Khan Zurmati and Taza Khan. Records showed that he entered India on a medical attendant visa on May 19, 2016, returned to Afghanistan on October 15 that year, and re-entered India for treatment on September 5, 2017.Police said Zurmati overstayed after his visa expired and later obtained Aadhaar, PAN and voter ID cards.
