The initiative, she added, ensures legal aid, quality healthcare, psychosocial counselling and effective rehabilitation to help survivors become self-reliant.As part of the collaboration, a special 20-day rehabilitation programme is underway at the Youth Hostel on Fraser Road here. The programme, which began on April 15 and will continue till May 5, involves the Chhaanv Foundation’s expert team conducting detailed one-on-one assessments of each survivor. Their mental, physical, economic and social needs are being evaluated through personalised counselling and in-depth interactions. Both organisations have committed to making the initiative long-term, with the aim of building a robust, inclusive and sensitive support system for acid attack survivors in Bihar.
