Mumbai police constable dies by suicide in Titwala

Kalyan: A 42-year-old police constable attached to Mumbai Police allegedly died by suicide in the Titwala area on Sunday morning, officials said.The deceased has been identified as Bhaurao Dagdu Dhage, a native of Katalapur village in Akole taluka of Ahmednagar district. He was currently residing in the Panchvati area of Titwala, in Geetanjali building.Dhage was posted as a constable at Yellow Gate police station in Mumbai. According to preliminary information, he had recently returned from his native village. His body was found early Sunday morning beneath a railway bridge in Titwala.Police personnel rushed to the scene, took custody of the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination.The exact reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained. An accidental death report (ADR) has been registered at Titwala police station, and further investigation is underway.Senior police inspector Mukesh Dhage stated that all possible angles are being probed and the cause behind the incident will be determined soon.
