Chennai: Weapon-wielding students from Pachaiyappa’s College and Government Arts College, Nandanam, clashed at Guindy railway station on Tuesday afternoon, disrupting commuters.Police said the rival groups attacked each other with knives, stones and broken bottles. Mambalam railway police arrested three people and seized three long knives, six stones and 10 broken bottles.Those arrested were identified as Kanagavel, 20, of Pallavaram, a former Pachaiyappa’s College student; Vishwa Guru, 19, of Padappai; and Raja, 19, of Arumbakkam, a student of Government Arts College, Nandanam.Further investigation is under way to identify and apprehend the remaining suspects.
