Patna: What was meant to be exam-time discipline turned into social media “masti” for a student and an embarrassment for BN Mandal University after a video allegedly shot inside an examination hall went viral.The clip purportedly shows a girl dancing to a Bhojpuri song and displaying her admit card during BNMU’s BA second-semester internal examination. Uploaded from an Instagram account named ‘Kajal Vishnu’, the reel claims to have been filmed at Ramesh Jha Mahila College in Saharsa, a constituent college of the university. TOI could not independently verify the authenticity of the video or the claims regarding where and when it was shot.Taking the matter seriously, the university administration has launched an inquiry. Examination controller Arun Kumar Jha said the university had sought a report from the college concerned to verify the authenticity of the video and ascertain when it was recorded.According to the college, the clip appears to be from an internal examination held around two months ago, though the girl seen in it is not believed to be a student there and may have accompanied another examinee.The university had issued guidelines on June 25 banning cellphones, Bluetooth devices and other electronic gadgets inside examination halls.. Further action will depend on the inquiry report.
