NEW DELHI: At least two schools received bomb threats on Wednesday morning, prompting evacuation and security measures.The schools that received the threats were Air Force Golden Jubilee School in Dhaula Kuan and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodhi Estate. The incident came on the day several schools, including Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, were reopening after the summer vacation.According to the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), a call regarding a bomb threat at Air Force Golden Jubilee School was received around 10 am. Around the same time, parents of students at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya received an email informing them of a security threat at the school, prompting authorities to act immediately.Taking no chances, police and other security agencies launched precautionary measures at both campuses. Bomb Disposal Teams (BDTs) and Dog Squads were deployed to conduct thorough searches of the school premises and rule out the presence of any suspicious objects or explosive devices.As part of the safety protocol, students and staff were evacuated from the buildings and shifted to secure locations while search operations were carried out. The evacuation was completed in an orderly manner to minimise any potential risk.
