In a thrilling introduction to NCR, Calvin Harris stepped onto the stage with an exhilarating set that transported attendees back to the vibrant beats of the 2010s. Thrilled to make his first mark in India, Harris hinted that this could be his most remarkable tour yet

After two decades of global chart dominance, Calvin Harris finally made his NCR debut, drawing a tightly packed, high-energy crowd that knew exactly what it had come for. Opening with the beats of Sweet Nothing, the DJ wasted no time in locking in the mood. “Delhi, how are we feeling?” he called out as the crowd at Leisure Valley roared back.

Known for defining EDM-pop in the 2010s, Harris leaned into nostalgia, delivering a throwback-heavy set that turned the NCR night into a full-blown singalong. “Listen guys, it’s my first time in India. I gotta be honest, I think this might be the best tour yet. I’m finishing on a high,” Harris said.Showing Calvin Delhi’s spiritDJ Sartek opened the night, setting the tone with crowd favourites like Sayonee, All Night Long and Trr Trr. “It was Bengaluru, then Mumbai – now we have to show Calvin Harris what Delhi is. Dil walon ki Dilli, right? Let’s make some noise!” he said.Calvin engaged the crowd and challenged them with “Does anyone here know the words to this song?” as his hits played. Ending with another classic, Good Feeling, he said, “I wanna hear absolutely everybody singing this song. Do you know this?” With fading beats, a brief namaste and a wave, he signed off.

A night celebrating 2010s musicHumchhaya, who attended the concert with her son, has been a Calvin Harris fan for decades. “I used to listen to his song during graduation which was like two decades ago! I’ve always wanted to attend his concert and see him live,” she shared. For Masters student Suzain, who attended the gig with her friends, Calvin Harris means nostalgia: “I wouldn’t call myself a die-hard fan, but his songs bring back a lot of memories from childhood. And I love attending concerts so this was a must.”
