Gaya: In an effort to strengthen engagement with young citizens, the district administration has launched ‘Coffee with DM’, a first-of-its-kind initiative aimed at providing students and youths a platform to interact directly with the district magistrate.The programme seeks to encourage greater youth participation in governance and development by enabling open discussions on aspirations, career challenges and innovative ideas.According to a statement issued by the administration, the interactive sessions will cover topics such as education and career counselling, skill development and entrepreneurship, good governance and administrative transparency, mental health awareness, and local civic issues.District magistrate Shashank Shubhankar said the initiative would help the administration better understand the concerns and expectations of young people. “The feedback, suggestions and ideas received during these interactions will contribute to making local policies and initiatives more responsive to the needs of the youth,” he said.The sessions will be held every Wednesday and Saturday at the collectorate, with participants drawn from diverse educational backgrounds.Eligible applicants must be residents of Gaya district, aged between 15 and 25 years, and enrolled in schools, colleges, universities, ITIs or polytechnic institutes. Applications can be submitted through the district administration’s official website and other notified digital platforms.
