New Delhi: Party drugs worth nearly Rs 10 crore, including MDMA, were seized from southeast Delhi’s Amar Colony by police. A Nigerian national was detained during the raid and has been taken into custody for further investigation.According to sources, the Bengaluru Police had come to Delhi in connection with an ongoing investigation and were searching for a suspect believed to be linked to the case. They approached the South-East Delhi Police for assistance, following which the district police constituted a special team to carry out a joint operation.The joint team raided a house in Amar Colony. While the suspect Bengaluru Police were looking for was not found at the premises, a search led to the recovery of approximately 3.25 kg of MDMA. Police estimate the seized contraband to have a market value of nearly Rs 10 crore.Investigators are trying to ascertain the source of the narcotics, the intended supply network and whether the seizure is linked to a larger interstate drug trafficking syndicate. Further investigation is underway.
