Patna: A state-of-the-art digital studio was inaugurated at Patna Science College on Saturday by Patna University (PU) vice-chancellor Ajay Kumar Singh to strengthen online learning and digital content creation for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Developed with funds under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), the facility will enable recording and uploading of high-quality lectures and study materials.Ajay highlighted the relevance of the studio in the digital era, saying it would help students access online classes more effectively. “Uploading of selective, quality study materials and lectures through the studio will prove boon for the students, as they can interact with their counterparts of other universities and colleges across the state and country,” he said.Bihar State University Service Commission chairman Girish Kumar Chaudhary said the studio would support curriculum-based lectures aligned with the National Education Policy, 2020. He added that recorded lectures would be available online for students to access at their convenience and urged faculty members to make full use of the facility.Digital studio’s professor-in-charge Atul Aditya Pandey said a lecture recording format would soon be prepared in consultation with heads of postgraduate departments. He added the studio would also host lectures by eminent educationists from across the country.PU IQAC director Birendra Prasad, PU registrar Shalini, Patna Science College principal Alka, along with heads of postgraduate departments, principals, officials and faculty members, attended the event.
