Patna: Chief minister Samrat Choudhary on Friday asked officials to expedite land acquisition and infrastructure development for industrial projects, stressing that delays should not stand in the way of investment and job creation in Bihar.Chairing a high-level review meeting at Sankalp Auditorium with officials of the industries department and urban development and housing department, Samrat said all land acquisition procedures must be completed within the prescribed timeframe and any administrative hurdles removed without delay.He also stressed the need for better coordination among departments to ensure investors receive world-class facilities in the state.Reviewing progress on industrial and urban development projects, Samrat instructed officials to accelerate work on integrated infrastructure in proposed industrial and urban growth zones. He directed them to fast-track land identification, acquisition and transfer processes.The CM said regular reviews should be conducted to ensure that new industrial areas and satellite township projects are completed on schedule.Particular attention should be paid to quality and timely execution of projects linked to investment, industrial expansion and urbanisation, he said.“The state govt’s objective is to take Bihar to new heights in the field of industrial and economic development,” Samrat said.During the meeting, industries secretary Kundan Kumar presented a detailed report on land acquisition for industrial zones and the progress of investment projects. Urban development and housing department principal secretary Vinay Kumar briefed officials on land availability, acquisition plans and urban planning proposals.Among those present were principal secretary to the CM Deepak Kumar, chief secretary Pratyaya Amrit, development commissioner Mihir Kumar Singh, secretaries to the CM Lokesh Kumar Singh and Sanjay Kumar Singh, civil aviation department secretary Nilesh Ramchandra Deore, MSME director Aman Sameer, industries department director Mukul Kumar Gupta and other senior officials.
