Ford expands its GCC footprint with a new Coimbatore centre

Chennai: Ford Business Solutions (FBS) India, Ford Motor’s global capability center, opened a new office in Coimbatore. Spread over 82,000 sqft, with seating for about 800 team members, it is the third location in the country, after its technology and business centre in Chennai and its technology incubation centre in Bengaluru and has been set up as a dedicated hub to strengthen business operations continuity and resilience, it said.“FBS India has spent 25 years building the kind of depth and capability that lets us take end-to-end ownership of Ford’s select global processes,” said Gangapriya Chakraverti, India site head and MD of Ford Business Solutions. “We have had team members from this city working for us for some time now. Coimbatore has also grown into a vibrant, thriving business hub, and we wanted to build a presence in a city that has so much to offer.” State industries minister Keerthana Sampath formally inaugurated the facility.The centre will primarily house members of teams serving accounting, Ford Credit and Business Operations, it said in a release. These teams serve Ford’s global markets, and the Coimbatore centre is central to FBS India’s business continuity strategy, ensuring critical functions operate without interruption.
