CHENNAI: Former CM MK Stalin on Friday asked when chief minister C Joseph Vijay would “open his mouth” on the continuing custodial deaths.Stalin on X accused the TVK govt of refusing to accept accountability or even apologise.“Doesn’t the chief minister like the two words- accountability and apology?” Stalin asked.Recalling the remarks of Vijay who questioned before the 2026 assembly election that “is saying sorry enough?” over custodial deaths, Stalin said that after becoming chief minister, Vijay was unwilling even to apologise and questioned where he was “hiding”.He also condemned the TVK govt, alleging that it had not even shown the compassion to console the families of those who died in custody.Recently, a youth Arunachalam died allegedly due to custodial death in Tuticorin but police denied it.
