Patna: Four empty wagons of a goods train derailed near Hilsa on the Fatuha-Hilsa rail route under the Danapur division of East Central Railway on Monday. The incident occurred around 9.26am, prompting railway officials and technical teams to rush to the spot.East Central Railway chief public relations officer Saraswati Chandra said restoration work began immediately and the derailed wagons were lifted by around 1pm. Following the required safety checks, the track was declared fit for movement.He said train services on the route remained unaffected as the goods train, which was heading to Bandhua in Gaya district, had derailed without disrupting traffic operations.The cause of the derailment is yet to be ascertained. Railway authorities will conduct a detailed inquiry to determine the reasons behind the incident and take corrective measures, Chandra added.
