Agartala: Tripura govt has directed all educational institutions, including madrasas, to begin each school day with the entire ‘Vande Mataram’, followed by the national anthem, Jana Gana Mana, to strengthen national pride and unity.The move follows Ministry of Home Affairs guidelines issued Jan 28 which emphasise respectful and proper conduct during the national song. The order applies to govt schools, govt-aided institutions, private schools, and all recognised madrasas, aided or unaided. Students, teachers and staff must stand at attention during the singing or playing of both, observing prescribed decorum and respect for national symbols.The policy was approved by the council of ministers and came into effect on July 3.
