Kolkata: Police have started an investigation after a man allegedly promised two unemployed persons from a family in Niranjanpally jobs at the Calcutta High Court. The accused claimed he had strong connections at the court and could arrange them stenographers’ posts.The accused, who reportedly took Rs 2.2 lakh from the victims, sent them a selection list with candidates’ names. The list turned out to be fake and the signatures of three judges on it forged, police said.The fraud was exposed when the complainant visited the suspect’s home and found others demanding a refund.
