Chennai: A 21-year-old man, who was on his way to celebrate his birthday, was killed in a road accident near Chengalpet on Sunday night.Jeeva, a resident of Sangutheertha Kulam in Thirukazhukundram, was riding a motorcycle near Pulikundram in Chengalpet district when it collided with an oncoming vehicle while he was negotiating a curve, the police said. Jeeva was headed to meet friends for his birthday celebration. Preliminary inquiry found that he was riding under the influence of alcohol, the police said.He suffered severe head injuries and was taken to Govt Chengalpet Medical College and Hospital, where he was declared dead.
