Tragedy struck at MGM Medical College in Kishanganj as second-year MBBS student Anushka Jain was found deceased in her hostel room, raising alarm in the community. Responding to the incident, the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police arrived to investigate. Aged 24 and hailing from Ara, Anushka was the daughter of a physician.
Patna: A second-year MBBS student at MGM Medical College in Kishanganj was found hanging in her hostel room late Friday evening, triggering concern on the campus. Kishanganj DM Vishal Raj and SP Santosh Kumar reached the spot along with a police team and issued necessary directions to officials.The deceased, Anushka Jain (24), was a native of Ara in Bhojpur district. Her father, Anil Kumar, is a doctor.Sadar sub-divisional police officer Manglesh Kumar said, “The body was sent to Kishanganj Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and her family has been informed. The hostel room has been sealed for forensic examination. The college administration, her batchmates and other persons at the campus are being questioned for further information.”
