Plaint against Dhanbad doctor for seeking hospital licence using forged documents

Dhanbad: A month after the directives of deputy commissioner (DC) Aditya Ranjan, civil surgeon (CS) Dr. Alok Vishwakarma on Wednesday lodged a complaint with the police against a city-based doctor for allegedly obtaining an operating licence for his clinic under the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act by furnishing forged documents.Srivastava on Wednesday registered his complaint with the Dhanbad police station. The doctor is also the director of his clinic, which is located near Birsa Munda Park. Sources said the doctor applied for a PCPNDT licence with the CS office for his hospital. However, some of the documents were found to be forged. Subsequently, the district administration was informed about it. On May 16, the DC directed Vishwakarma to initiate legal proceedings against the operator of the hospital.The doctor claimed that he already lodged a complaint against one Dipankar Nath, a resident of Manoram Nagar, accusing him of providing forged documents. “I was misled and was given forged documents by another person. Police are yet to act on it. The authorities must conduct a fair investigation and take appropriate action in the matter.”Vishwakarma said, “Technically, the documents were submitted in his name, making him accountable in the matter. A police probe will reveal the complete facts.”
