One accused was arrested and a juvenile was detained for questioning.The investigation began after one Sudesh Kumar reported that his motorcycle was stolen on July 1. Harla police registered an FIR against unidentified persons.Amid rising vehicle thefts in the district, SP Nathu Singh Meena constituted a special investigation team under City DSP Rajeev Ranjan. Using technical evidence, the team traced a juvenile living in Sector-6/C.On the juvenile’s disclosure, police raided the residence of Arman Kumar Yadav (23) alias Aman Kumar at Kailudih Khatal in Chhatabad, under Katras police station area of Dhanbad district. Police recovered the stolen motorcycle and eight other motorcycles allegedly lifted from different parts of Bokaro.Police said preliminary findings indicate Arman was engaged in buying and selling stolen motorcycles. DSP city Rajiv Ranjan said, “The accused has been arrested and produced before court, while further investigation is underway to identify other members of the racket and trace additional stolen vehicles.”
