Patna: With the commencement of regular undergraduate (UG) mainstream classes from July 15 at all colleges falling under jurisdiction of Patliputra University (PPU), the university has started the admission process for various professional and self-financed postgraduate (PG) courses for the academic session 2026-28.According to PPU registrar Abu Bakar, the university has invited online applications from eligible and interested candidates for admission to PG self-financed programmes. The university portal will remain open from July 22 to Aug 7 for the submission of applications online at its portal, he said adding these admissions will be made at those colleges imparting PG courses in vocational programme.The university has also included several rural and semi-urban based colleges located in Patna and Nalanda districts of the state to start these courses from the current academic session 2026-27 to facilitate students particularly girls to pursue their career oriented courses smoothly, Bakar said. “Admission will be conducted for courses including Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), MSc Biotechnology, MSc Environmental Science and other self-financed postgraduate programmes,” he added.The online application fee is Rs 1,100 for General, BC-I, BC-II and EWS candidates, and Rs 750 for SC and ST candidates , he said.PPU will also start the admissions for the three-year LLB programme for the 2026-29 academic session, with online applications accepted from July 23 to Aug 7, registrar said adding “The university will simultaneously invite applications for admission to the Master of Education (MEd) programme for the 2026-27 session during the same period,” he added.According to the registrar, the admission process has been planned to ensure smooth enrolment of students in professional and specialised courses after the commencement of regular UG classes across PPU-affiliated colleges.
