Patna: People staged a protest in a village in Nawada district on Sunday, demanding the arrest of those behind the brutal murder of a seven-year-old boy, Aryan Raj, whose eyes were gouged out.The body of Aryan, son of Karu Choudhary of Bauri village, was found near a pond in the village under Kashichak police station area late on Saturday night. It appeared that his eyes were gouged out with a needle or some other sharp object, and some medicine may have been injected into his body. The body was handed over to the family after the postmortem, police said.Aryan’s father, Karu Choudhary, said his son had been missing since 3pm on Saturday. During a search at night, his body was found about 500 metres from their house, near a pond.The child was rushed to the Community Health Centre, Kashichak, where doctors declared him dead.After receiving information about the incident, Pakribarawan SDPO Sujay Kumar reached the spot.He said, “Every angle is being investigated. All those involved in this incident are being traced. Police are examining the place where the child was found. We will solve this case soon. So far, the family has not named any suspects. A murder case has been registered against unidentified persons in the matter.”Kashichak SHO Gautam Kumar said blood was oozing from both the child’s eyes. It appears that some sharp object was used to gouge out his eyes. The forensic team has collected samples from the crime scene.
