Ranchi: Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has issued notices to 20 coaching institutes and libraries across the city as part of a verification drive to check compliance with building and safety regulations.The civic body will examine approved building plans, the permitted use of buildings, trade licences, fire safety clearances and other mandatory permissions.Officials said documents have been sought from the institutions for scrutiny. RMC stated that action will be taken against establishments found operating in violation of prescribed norms. In cases where deficiencies are not rectified after due process, the corporation may initiate sealing and other legal action.
