Kolkata: The state health department has revoked the suspension of Prof Md Alauddin, former gynaecology and obstetrics head at Midnapore Medical College. Alauddin was suspended alongside 11 other doctors by the previous Trinamool Congress govt in Jan 2025 after two women died and four fell seriously ill post-C-section. Doctors blamed spurious Ringer’s Lactate saline, leading to the supplier being blacklisted.
