CHENNAI: The DMK leadership on Wednesday named two legal professionals as its candidates for the Maduranthakam and Dharapuram constituencies.The nominations carry the seal of the Secular Progressive Alliance.

Former MLA and party joint secretary of the legal wing I Paranthaman will contest the Maduranthakam seat.For the Dharapuram constituency, the party has fielded advocate S Suganya, party chief MK Stalin said in a statement.By picking lawyers for both seats, the party leadership aims to project a strong, articulate front ahead of the upcoming campaign.
