Patna: Governor Syed Ata Hasnain, who is also the chancellor of the state universities, on Monday directed all the newly established 211 degree colleges at block level to introduce the teaching of Urdu and Maithili from the upcoming academic session.A communiqué released from the chancellor’s secretariat stated that for the time being only six subjects– Hindi, English, economics, history, political science and sociology are being introduced in all these colleges from he new academic session commencing on July 1. The chancellor has directed that necessary steps should be taken to start the teaching of Urdu and Maithili in all these colleges from the next academic session.
