Daltonganj: Pipra Tarn police in Palamu arrested two people on Monday and recovered 508 grams of opium, Lesliganj SDPO Prashant Kumar said on Tuesday.The accused, identified as Jayshri Yadav(50) and Kamal Yadav (40), were booked under sections of the NDPS Act and remanded to judicial custody the same day, he added. Police nabbed the duo near a govt primary school at Borodiri under Pipra Tarn police station limits.Kumar said Lesliganj sub-divisional police are continuing a relentless crackdown on narcotics under “Operation Prahar” and illegal weapons under “Operation Safaya.”
