Dumka: Two youths were killed and another sustained serious injuries in separate road accidents in Dumka district late Wednesday, police said.In the first incident, a car collided head-on with a truck near Chutonath Gate on the Govindpur-Sahibganj state highway. The vehicle was mangled and its two occupants trapped inside under the impact.Officer in-charge of the Jama police station, Ajit Kumar Singh, said, “Abhijit Yadav (35) of Rasikpur in Dumka town, who was driving the car, succumbed to his injuries at the Phulo Jhano Medical College and Hospital (PJMCH). Sandeep Kumar, a resident of Giridih’s Chatro police station limits, suffered serious injuries. The truck has been seized and a search launched to trace and arrest the driver.”In the second accident, Ravindra Marandi (28), a resident of Balidih village under Pakuria police station in Pakur district, was killed after his motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle near Heritage Hotel on the Dumka-Rampurhat stretch of the NH-114 under the Muffassil police station limits.
