Two minors held for stabbing 12-year-old in Jahangirpuri

New Delhi: A day after a 12-year-old was critically injured after he was allegedly stabbed in northwest Delhi’s Jahangirpuri, two minors have been apprehended.According to police, the boy had gone to A block, Jahangirpuri, for motorcycle repairs with his cousin, a mechanic, around 10 am on Tuesday, when they were intercepted by two known associates. The two minor boys then allegedly restrained them and started assaulting them.They had initially attempted to attack the boy’s cousin with a dagger. However, when he managed to escape, they attacked the boy on the left side of his chest.A case was registered under sections 109 (attempt to murder) and 3 (5) (common intention) of the BNS at the Jahangirpuri police station.“During the course of investigation, technical surveillance was deployed, and local as well as interstate intelligence was developed,” said DCP (northwest) Akanksha Yadav.Multiple raids were conducted at suspected hideouts, and the boys were subsequently apprehended. Police have seized the dagger used in the offence from their possession.
