NEW DELHI: A video showing a security official pulling the hair of BRS MLA and former Telangana minister Sabitha Indra Reddy during a protest outside the state assembly in Hyderabad has triggered a political row.The incident took place on Monday as Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) legislators protested against the Congress-led government, alleging that it had failed to fulfil its election promises even after completing 1,000 days in office.Visuals shared by the BRS on X purportedly show security personnel trying to remove Sabitha Indra Reddy from the protest site. During the confrontation, a security official is seen pulling her by her hair as she is taken away from the assembly premises. The BRS alleged that the MLA was dragged away despite being a woman legislator.In its post on X, the BRS said, “Police’s inhuman behavior towards former minister and MLA Sabeeta Indra Reddy at the assembly! Police dragging her away brutally by her hair without even considering that she is a woman MLA!
