The accused in police custody in Deoghar on Monday
Dumka: Six persons were arrested in Deoghar and Jamtara districts for allegedly duping people by posing as customer care executives, offering govt scheme benefits and sending fake e-challan messages, officers said on Monday.Four alleged cyber fraudsters were arrested in Deoghar on Sunday evening. Police seized seven mobile phones and six SIM cards from them. The accused, aged between 20 and 25 years, allegedly posed as customer care representatives of e-commerce platforms and payments banks. They reportedly used fake mobile numbers to lure victims with promises of PM-Kisan benefits and loans.In Jamtara, police arrested two youths for allegedly sending APK files disguised as RTO e-challan messages.
