Aurangabad: A district court in Aurangabad on Thursday sentenced six men to life imprisonment for the murder of a man following a dispute over the alleged theft of drain-cover slabs in 2023.District Judge-V Umesh Prasad convicted Chhotelal Kumar, Ajit Kumar, Rohit Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Guddu Kumar and Surendra Singh, all residents of Kishunpura village under Haspura police station.According to additional public prosecutor Devinandan Singh, the court sentenced all six convicts to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each under Section 302 of the IPC. They were also awarded two years’ imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1,000 each under Section 147 of the IPC. The court directed that both sentences would run concurrently.
