East Jadavpur sergeant Madhab Mondal, who was on duty at the Highland Park crossing on Bypass, thwarted a suicide by saving a person while he was jumping on the railway tracks from Baghajatin flyover. Upon receiving the news, he immediately rushed to the scene and rescued the individual with help of locals. The man was later handed over to Patuli PS. tnn
