Jaiswal seeks CBI probe into JPSC, JSSC-CGL recruitment exams

Hazaribag: Hazaribag MP Manish Jaiswal met Union home minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Monday, seeking a CBI probe into the alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC-CGL recruitment examinations in Jharkhand.Jaiswal alleged large-scale irregularities and “sale of seats” in the exams and questioned the credibility and impartiality of the state govt’s CID investigation, saying students and candidates had lost faith in it.He told Shah the matter involved not just recruitment but the future and trust of more than five lakh aspirants. The MP also raised the demands of protesting students seeking justice. During the meeting, Jaiswal flagged Jharkhand’s law-and-order situation, alleging a rise in organised crime, illegal activities and the drug trade, particularly in Hazaribag and Ramgarh.He also alleged loot of the state’s mineral resources and urged protection of its natural wealth. Jaiswal described the discussion as detailed and meaningful and said such issues could not be compromised.
