Daltonganj: Latehar police seized 6.59 grams of brown sugar and arrested two persons – Avinav Ankur Savitamani (21) and Shivam Kumar (21) – who were remanded to judicial custody on Monday.SDPO Sandip Kumar Gupta said the duo was bringing the contraband from Garhwa by bus on Sunday.Acting on SP Kumar Gaurav’s directive, police intercepted them near a roadside hotel at Mako More as they got off the bus. A frisking led to the seizure of brown sugar, two silver foils, a cellphone and Rs 1,860 in cash. Gupta said Avinav already faces two criminal cases at Latehar police station.
