Stone hits Vande Bharat coach in Bihta, none hurt

Patna: A windowpane of coach C 6 of the premier semi-high speed Patna-Gomti Nagar Vande Bharat Express (22345) was shattered after a stone hit the train near Bihta station under Danapur division of the East Central Railway (ECR) on Sunday morning. No passenger was injured in the incident.According to Danapur senior RPF commandant Uday Singh Pawar, the stone-pelting incident took place at around 6.22am when the train was passing through the Bihta station area. The sudden impact of the stone, which broke the glass, created panic among passengers travelling in the coach, he said.The Railway Protection Force (RPF) swung into action immediately after receiving information about the incident. RPF personnel launched a search operation in nearby villages to identify and arrest the person involved in the stone pelting. A case has also been registered at the Danapur RPF post in connection with the incident, he said, adding strict action would be taken against those found involved in such anti-social activities, as stone pelting poses a serious threat to passenger safety.The Patna-Gomti Nagar Vande Bharat Express had departed from Patna Junction at its scheduled time of 6.05am and reached its destination, Gomti Nagar, at around 2.35 pm, running via the Danapur-Ara-Buxar-DDU-Varanasi route.
