Dhanbad: IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, as a knowledge partner of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) under its Vigyan Jyoti Programme, hosted 115 girl students from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) of Bardhaman and Jamtara on Wednesday. The programme, held at the institute’s GJLT, focused on providing young girls with exposure to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and encouraging them to explore opportunities in these fields.A special session was the interaction of students with Madhulika Gupta, nodal coordinator, Vigyan Jyoti Programme.The visit was organised as part of the broader objective of Vigyan Jyoti Programme to encourage girl students to consider STEM education and career pathways and contribute towards addressing the underrepresentation of women in STEM fields.
