Dhanbad: Courage, gallantry and exemplary dedication to duty have earned special recognition for four members of the Dhanbad police. Three sub-inspectors and a constable from the district police force have been granted out-of-turn promotions in recognition of their outstanding service, bravery and commitment to duty.The three sub-inspectors promoted to the rank of inspector are Sadanand Singh, a 2005-batch officer; Prabhat Ranjan Rai, a 2018-batch officer; and Arjun Kumar Singh. Meanwhile, Navneet Naval, a constable recruited in 2009, has been promoted to the rank of assistant sub-inspector (ASI) for his exemplary performance and contribution to police service.A piping ceremony was organised at the Dhanbad SSP office to mark the promotions on Thursday. Senior superintendent of police Prabhat Kumar and superintendent of police (rural) S Mohammad Yakub pinned the new badges on the promoted personnel, formally marking their elevation to higher ranks.Congratulating the promoted personnel, SSP Kumar said that promotion not only brings honour but also increases responsibility. He urged the officers to continue serving the people with integrity, discipline, dedication and courage.
