Patna: CM Samrat Choudhary on Wednesday highlighted PM Narendra Modi govt’s welfare and development initiatives, saying a developed India was possible only through a prosperous Bihar.Addressing the ‘Seva Sankalp Sabha’ held at Miller School ground in Patna to celebrate PM Modi’s 25 years of service in public life, Samrat said Bihar has around 8.9 million farmers and claimed the Centre was ensuring that financial assistance reached them directly through bank transfers.PM Modi and BJP national president Nitin Nabin addressed the event virtually from Delhi. BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi administered a pledge to the attendees in Patna to build a developed India by the year 2047.The CM said nearly five million women associated with Bihar’s Jeevika livelihood programme had become ‘Lakhpati Didis’, earning more than Rs 1 lakh annually. “It is PM Modi’s resolve to make 4 crore Jeevika Didis across the country Lakhpatis,” he said, adding that Bihar could have 1 crore such women by 2030.He said infrastructure development was progressing under PM Modi’s leadership and called for greater focus on Bihar to achieve the goal of a ‘Viksit Bharat’.Referring to Modi’s 25-year political career, Samrat said Gujarat had transformed during his tenure as CM and that the PM was now working to transform the country. He urged people to pledge their support to the effort to build a developed India.The CM also contrasted the NDA’s stated focus on ‘seva’ (service) with what he described as the INDIA bloc’s pursuit of ‘meva’ (personal gains). He further said that the poor had previously received inadequate attention and credited Modi and then-Bihar CM Nitish Kumar with initiatives to transfer financial assistance directly into the bank accounts of 1.81 crore women. He called on people to remain vigilant and unite to strengthen the PM’s efforts towards nation-building.Later, Samrat inaugurated an exhibition showcasing the 25-year public life and journey of PM Modi at the BJP state office. BJP state president and Darbhanga MLA Sanjay Saraogi, organisation general secretary Bhikhubhai Dalsania and several other party office-bearers, leaders and workers were present on the occasion.The exhibition chronicles various phases of Modi’s life and public service through photographs, highlighting his years of struggle, social engagements, political journey and initiatives for the development of the country. It also features several memorable moments from his public career and episodes that, according to the party, reflect his dedication, hard work and commitment to public service.Speaking on the occasion, party leaders said the exhibition provides an opportunity for people to learn about the PM’s journey and his contribution to public life. They said the photographs present different facets of Modi’s life, from his early years and social activities to his political career and efforts towards nation-building.
