Ramgarh: In a festive boost for workers, Coal India Ltd (CIL) has announced a performance-linked reward (PLR) or bonus of Rs 1,10,250 for eligible non-executive employees for the 2025-26 financial year.The amount will be paid on a pro-rata basis on or before Oct 15, CIL said in a statement. The decision was taken unanimously at a bipartite meeting between representatives of central trade unions under the Apex Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) and the managements of CIL and Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) at CIL headquarters in Kolkata on Oct 3.Aituc state working president Lakhan Lal Mahto said the PLR would benefit around 30,023 non-executive employees of CCL, including 3,347 women workers. “Across CIL, its subsidiaries and SCCL, nearly 2.48 lakh non-executive employees will get the benefit,” he said.This year’s PLR is Rs 7,250 higher than last year’s payout of Rs 1,03,000.CIL has urged employees to help achieve its production target of 815 million tonnes and dispatch target of 850 million tonnes in the current fiscal.CCL’s Charhi area general manager Kalyanji Prasad said around 3,000 non-executive employees, mostly from Ramgarh district, would benefit ahead of the festive season.
