NIT JSR hosts industry-academia conclaveNational Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur organised the Mini Industry-Academia Conclave 2026 in the city, bringing together industry leaders and academics to strengthen collaboration in research, innovation, testing and technology transfer. The event, held at Hotel Radisson, was themed “Empowering Industry through Research, Innovation, and Testing & Technology Transfer”. Around 55 representatives from industries, including Tata Steel, JSW, RSB Transmission and Vedanta, participated in the conclave.Orientation programme in SBUA three-day placement orientation programme was organized for students in Sarla Birla University (SBU) in order to prepare them for campus selection and also introduce them the working system, needs and expectations of the corporate sector. Students of MBA, M.Sc, M. Com, BBA, BA, and MA english and economics took part in the programme.NCC unit starts functioning in JRSUThe national cadet corps (NCC) unit has started functioning in Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University (JRSU) from Thursday. Commanding officer of NCC 3rd Jharkhand battalion colonel Santosh Kumar inaugurated its office at the university campus. He said the NCC was the largest uniformed voluntary force in the nation. The current strength of NCC in JRSU is 30. The university has been assigned a total of 107 seat, which would be filled up in three years.(Compiled by Sanjay Sahay)
